요사노 아키코(与謝野晶子)『흐트러진 머리칼(みだれ髪)』 고찰 ― 가어(歌語)와 표지화의 ‘머리칼(髮)’ 간극을 중심으로 ―
여성의 머리카락은 여성성을 특징짓는 표상으로 남성에게 관찰되는 신체로서 담론 화되어 왔다. 일본에서는 헤이안 시대를 거치며 키보다 긴 머리카락이 여성을 집안 내 부소유물적인 존재로 묶어두는 도구 역할을 했으며 근대화의 기로에선 메이지기 초기 에는 올림머리라는 긴 머리카락으로 남성의 소유물적 여성성을 유지하고자 했다. 그런 의미에서 요사노 아키코가 『흐트러진 머리칼』에서 ‘머리카락’을 관찰되는 신체 표상이 아닌 여성의 내적 고민의 발로이자 주체적 자부심이 있는 젊음의 상징, 혹은 무 기로 내세움으로서 살아 움직이는 신체로 재정립하였다는 점은 시사하는 바가 크다. 이는 이전 세대의 시마자키 도손이 여성에 가탁해 쓴 시의 표현 등을 통해 명백히 드러난다. 남성 문학자들의 연애시에 표현된 신체표상에서 읽을 수 있는 여성의 나른함, 수동 적, 죽음이라는 이미지는 요사노 아키코를 거치며 생기, 적극적, 생명이라는 새로운 이 미지로 색을 입었다. 그러나 이러한 그녀의 단카가 서적이라는 물성을 가지며 그 표지화에서 시대의 착종 을 드러낸다. 여성을 수동적이며 신화적인 이미지로 가두어두고자 한 시선이 『흐트러 진 머리칼』의 표지화에 응축되어 있기 때문이다. 근대의 여성의 자아발견이 남성이 마련한 장에서 발현될 수밖에 없던 시대적 한계는 내면을 노래하는 요사노 아키코의 단카 의 기조와 그 단카들을 장식하는 표지화의 괴리로 이어졌다. 여성의 신체를 주체적으로 세우고자 했던 여성가인 앞에 드러난 간극은 ‘머리카락’이라는 신체의 표현의 차이를 통해 확인할 수 있다 하겠다.

A Study on Akiko Yosano's Midaregami : The Gap between the Poetic Word ‘Midaregami’ and the Cover Art ‘Midaregami’
Women's hair has been a discourse to men who believes that hairs characterize femininity. In Midaregami, Yosano Akiko redefined ‘hair’ not as an observed physical representation, but as a living body. She described it as an expression of a woman's inner concerns, a symbol of youth with subjective pride, or a weapon which has great implications. This is evident from the expression of Shimazaki Toson's poems written in the guise of a woman. The image of a woman's lassitude, passiveness, and death, as presented in male literature, was colored with a new image of vitality, active, and life through Yosano Akiko . However, as her poems are published in the form of a book, the cover reveals the confusion of the times. The limitations of the times when a modern woman’s self-discovery had no choice but expressed in a space prepared by men led to a gap between the keynote of Yosano Akiko's poetries, which illustrate her inner self, and the cover art that adorns those poems. The gap revealed in front of the female poet who attempted to establish the female body independently can be confirmed through the difference in the expression of the body, such as the hair.
