전시하 식민지 조선･대만의 종합문예지를 바라보는 시선들 ― 연구사적 비교･검토를 중심으로 ―
일제강점기 식민지 조선과 대만의 일본어문학은 한동안 일국문학의 틀 안에서도 그 주 변부에 머물 수밖에 없었다. 하물며 전시기 식민지의 일본어 종합문예지는 일제 강점 통 치의 부산물에 가깝게 취급되었으며, 이에 대한 연구도 비교적 최근에 들어 한국과 대만, 일본에서 각자의 역사적 이해 관계 속에서 진행되어 왔다. 따라서 본 논문은 전시기 일본 어 문예물의 거점이었던 종합문예지에 대한 각국의 연구사적 경향을 종합적으로 검토하여, 이를 파악하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 이에 조선의 『국민문학(國民文學)』과 대만의 『문예대만(文藝臺灣)』, 『대만문학(臺灣文學)』, 『대만문예(臺灣文藝)』를 중심으로 한 삼국의 논의를 통시적인 시각에서 비교, 검토해 보았다. 이를 통해 먼저 조선의 『국민문학』에 대한 한국, 일본의 연구에서 이 잡지가 제국 일본 에 의한 사상적 지배에서 자유롭지 못한 공간이었음을, 각각 식민자와 피식민자의 기획 의도를 중심으로 증명하고자 하는 경향을 발견할 수 있었다. 반면 대만의 세 잡지에 대한 연구에서는 대만이라는 ‘개성’을 확립하고 일본인과 대만인을 연결하거나 혹은 대립시키 는 문예 활동의 ‘자유’가 존재했던 공간으로 파악하는 경향을 포착하였다. 나아가 양 지역 잡지 연구의 가장 큰 대별점으로 문예 언어의 측면에서 ‘국어(일본어)’ 사용을 문제시하는 기준이 다름을 알 수 있었다. 특히 일본에서 이루어진 국민문학 연구가 피식민자에 대 한 언어･사상적 지배 구조를 일관적으로 포착하고 있는 것에 반해, 대만의 일본어 종합문 예지 연구는 ‘대만 문단’과 ‘대만’ 정체성 자체의 확립에 방점을 두고 식민자의 피식민자 에 대한 언어･사상적 지배에 대한 언급을 우회하고 있는 경향을 보이고 있음을 밝혔다.

Analysis of Research Perspectives in Colonial Korea and Taiwan on Japanese Literary Magazines during War Time
During Japanese colonial rule, Japanese-language literature in colonial Korea and Taiwan remained on the periphery even within the framework of one-nation conservatism for a while. The Japanese-language literary magazines published during war time were treated as by-products of Japanese domination. Interestingly, research on this topic conducted in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan has been mainly done based on each country's historical understanding and views. In this regard, the present paper aimed to review the research trends of each country on the literary magazines of Japan during the war. More specifically, the current study examines and compares the discussions on Kokumin-Bungaku in colonial Korea and Bungei-Taiwan, Taiwan-Bungaku, Taiwan-Bungei in colonial Taiwan with a diachronic perspective. Through this analysis, it was observed that research in Korea and Japan regarding Kokumin-Bungaku tends to focus on proving that this magazine was not liberal toward ideological domination by Imperial Japan, especially the planning intentions of both the colonizer and the colonized. On the other hand, research on three magazines in Taiwan identified them as spaces where existed literary activities that established the identity of Taiwan and connected/ confronted the Japanese and Taiwanese people with a certain degree of autonomy. Furthermore, a notable difference between the two regions' magazine studies was identified in terms of usage of the literary language (Japanese in this case).
