<한국일본학회> 50년과 디지로그(digilog) 시대의 일본연구
지난 반세기 동안 <한국일본학회>는 다양한 학문영역(역사민속, 어문학, 정치경제, 사회문화, 예체능)을 중심으로 각종 연구총서의 발간, 학술지 『日本學報』의 발간, 국제 학술대회를 개최를 통해 학술적 성과를 발신해 왔다. 이러한 <한국일본학회>의 학술적 활동은 국내 일본연구의 플랫폼 역할을 담당함과 동시에 그동안 갈등/대립으로 점철했 던 한일관계에도 긍정적으로 역할 했다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 한편으로는 그동안의 일 본연구가 자기중심적이고 추수주의(追隨主義) 형태를 극복하지 못했다는 목소리도 존 재한다. 글로벌 시티즌십(Global citizenship)을 내세우는 국제사회가 한국의 국가주의/민 족 순혈주의를 지적한 적도 있지만, 오늘날 학문연구의 시좌는 확실히 국가/민족주의를 넘어 열린 가치/세계관을 필요로 한다. 그런 관점에서 앞으로 <한국일본학회>의 연구 방향은 기존의 연구성과를 토대로 글로벌 디지털시대와 인문학과 AI, 디지로그(digilog) 시대의 사회수요형 실용주의, 창의적인 넥스트 제네레이션, 학제적 콜라보레이션, 융복 합적 하이브리드 형태의 공동연구를 통한 다중심적 가치/이미지가 한층 강화될 것으로 보인다. 예컨대 디아스포라의 경계의식과 트렌스네이션으로 표상되는 탈경계적 가치/ 세계관처럼 확장성을 가진 연구 시좌가 설득력을 얻을 수 있다. 결국 글로벌 디지털시 대의 학문적 경쟁력은 국가/민족/이데올로기의 한계를 넘어 통시/혼종적(hybridty) 형태 의 연구시좌를 통해 확보될 수 있기 때문이다.

50 Years of and Research on Japan in the Age of Digilog
For the past half century, has attained its academic achievements in various domains of knowledge (history/folklore, language/literature, politics/economy, society/culture, arts/sports) publishing all sorts of series of research, issuing 『Journal of Japanology』, and also holding international academic conferences. With such academic activities, we can say that has played roles as a platform for research on Japan in Korea and also functioned positively for Korea-Japan relationship that is full of conflicts and confrontations. On the other hand, there is also a voice that research on Japan has failed to overcome the form of self-centeredness and harvestism. This implies that the current research agenda should aim for open value/worldview beyond nationalism. In this sense, from now on, is expected to pursue humanities and AI along with the global digital era, socially demanded pragmatism in the digilog era, creative next generation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and joint research in convergent/hybrid forms, which will enhance its multi-centered value/image further. It is because academic competitiveness in the global digital era can be finally secured through a research agenda in the universal/hybrid form beyond national/ethnic/ideological limitations.
