This paper examines how the Kumano Faith is portrayed in Sekkyobushi(説経節), particularly focusing on the Karukaya, Sansyo Dayu, Shintoku Maru, Oguri. In Karukaya, Kumano appears in a scene where he makes a big oath to the gods and Buddha before Shigeuji became a disciple of Honen. The three deities of Kumano appears next to Ichinomiya Daimyojin in Iga Province, and must be considered with almost important existence in the order of swearing to the gods and Buddha. And Sansyo Dayu appears in the scene where a monk of Kokubunji solicits gods from all over Japan to make a big oath. However, Kumanosanzan first appeared in Sansyo Dayu, and it can be seen that it was the most important existence in the order of swearing to the gods and Buddha. In Shintoku Maru, Shimizu's principal icon tells Shintoku Maru to take a bath in Kumano's hot water to recover from his Leprousness. In Oguri. Oguri who was Leprous was sent to Kumano, where he entered Kumano's hot water and regenerated into original look. Kumano is depicted as a spiritual place to revive and recover even for humans suffering from intractable diseases such as Leprosy. It can be seen that Kumano is not only a target for accepting everyone, for example those suffering from intractable diseases such as Leprosy, but also for revival and recovery.
